Carol Chayer

Program Director

As a graduate of the DSW program, Carol has attained skills in many areas over the last 30 years.  She has worked in many different settings/ workshops, private homes, both elementary and high schools, group homes, camps and institutions.

She has developed skills in feeding, catheterization, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech, assistive devices, ABA, etc.  She has an updated CPR certificate, first aid, behaviour modification courses and CPI.  Her home has been CAS approved and she has the necessary documentation for liability insurance.  She has recently taken a leave of absence from the school board to explore new possibilities and expand her knowledge and experiences.

Danielle Norman

Program Coordinator

Danielle is a graduate of both the DSW and CSSW programs. She has a background in the field with more than 20 years experience and has previous work experience as an Educational Assistant with the Catholic School Board. She has been with Share since 2016 and has proven to be a very valuable part of our team. She enjoys all aspects of the program and is willing to help out and participate where ever needed. Great to have her as part of the Share Community Program!

Shailyn Sharpe

Program Assistant

Shailyn completed a diploma in Occupational therapy and physiotherapy assistant at Sir Sandford Fleming College where she continued on to complete her degree in human kinetics. She has a background in working with children and teens with developmental disabilities in which she gained skills and techniques which were easily transitioned to Share's program. She has been with us since May 2018 and her background in human kinetics and physiotherapy plus her experience in working with people with developmental disabilities have proven to be a great asset to our program, especially for our health and fitness portion.

Marie Abou-Malhab

Program Assistant

Marie began as a student volunteer with Share in April 2018, and was hired as an employee in September 2018. She is currently studying Psychology B.A. Honours, Concentration in Health Psychology, Minor: Neuroscience and Mental Health at Carleton University in Ottawa. She has many years experience as a volunteer, mentor, and advocate at various organizations for persons with disabilities as well as growing up with an older sibling who has Spina Bifida. She is certified in First Aid & CPR, and CPI (NVCI). She is an asset to the Share Community Program team.  

Nicole Thomson

Program Assistant/Office Administrator

Nicole is a graduate of CW and Office Administration programs. She has a background in the field with more than 20 years experience and has previous work experience as a Child and Youth Worker and an Adult Support Worker with a young adult female who is currently a client at Share. She started with Share in September 2018. She is trained in CPS, First Aid & CPR, B-Mod, CPI(NVCI), and Nurtured Heart Approach as well as taken courses in ODD, and mental health. Great to have her as part of the Share Community Program!

Wendy Morrow

Program Assistant

Wendy is a graduate of the CYW program and is trained as a behavioural counselor with individuals who live with Autism and unique challenges. She has worked in the field for many years. She is certified in First Aid & CPR, CPI (NVCI), Abuse Prevention, and Fire Safety. She is bilingual in French and English. Wendy joined the Share team in September 2018 and is an asset to Share Community Program. Welcome Wendy!

Tara Ellis

Program Assistant

Tara joined the Share team in November 2018. She is a graduate of the EA program with many years experience working with children, youth, and adults in various settings. Tara is certified in First Aid & CPR, and CPI (NVCI). She is bilingual in French and English and has a working knowledge of American Sign Language, She enjoys working at Share and participating in all activities offered here at Share Community Program. Welcome to the team!
